JOY is the feeling of great pleasure and happiness.

The Caring Closet is happy to spread a little joy everyday providing clothes to our at-risk clients. But there are times when a client requests clothing that the CC doesn’t have in its inventory. It tugs on our heartstrings when this happens as we want to be able to provide clothing to everyone that makes a request. Therefore we are creating JUDY’S JOY: a fund to provide the monetary means to purchase clothing when needed for a client request.

We are naming the fund after one of our most valuable volunteers who retired from the education sector after 30 years of devoted service. She is our Outreach Coordinator and has single-handedly built our client partnerships throughout the Richmond community. She has nurtured not only strong community partnerships, but a loyal team of volunteers that work with her on an almost daily basis. Judy is the epitome of JOY and we couldn’t think of a better way to honor her.
