Bags 4 Kids

Bags 4 Kids provides Care Bags, duffle bags, pencil boxes and holiday bags to organizations caring for children in challenging situations. Through working with these agencies, we learned that many of these children carry their belongings in trash bags when they move around. Whether they are transitioning into domestic violence shelters, homeless shelters or foster care, these children are part of a crisis situation and are often in need of basics, such as clothing and school supplies, as well as a few things to raise their spirits.

For kids who need clothing, we provide large duffle bags filled with clothing from the CC. The smaller “Care Bags” contain self-care items, activity items, a blanket and a stuffed animal. All of our bags and boxes include an encouraging card made by a volunteer from one of our community service programs, such as “You are loved” or “You are so much stronger than you think”.

Please shop, collect or contact the CC for community service projects relating to the Bags 4 Kids Program.
